This policy explains what we collect when you use roofingbyvalor.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do about it.
Who we are

Information you give us
When you request an estimate, use the quote tool, or contact us, we ask for:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address
- The address of the property
- What you need done, and anything else you choose to tell us
We ask for these because we cannot quote a roof without knowing whose it is, where it is, and what is wrong with it. You do not have to give us any of it, but we will not be able to give you an estimate without it.
Phone calls are recorded
The phone numbers on this site are tracking numbers. When you call, the number you dial connects you to us and records the call. You will hear a recorded notice at the start of the call telling you this.
We record calls so we can confirm what was discussed and quoted, train the people who answer the phone, and understand which of our adverts and listings are actually producing calls. Recordings and the transcript of the call are stored by WhatConverts on our behalf.
Tennessee law allows a call to be recorded with the consent of one party. If you would prefer not to be recorded, tell the person who answers and they will take your details another way, or email us instead.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we collect some information automatically when you visit:
- Your IP address and approximate location, usually accurate only to the town or city
- Your browser, device type and operating system
- The pages you view, how long you spend on them, and the links you click
- The website, advert or search that sent you here
Session recording
We use Microsoft Clarity, which records your visit so we can watch back how pages are actually used and fix the parts that do not work. That recording includes mouse movement, scrolling, clicks and taps.
Clarity is set to mask text you type into form fields, so it should not capture what you enter. We do not use these recordings to identify individual visitors, and we do not sell them.
Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for two purposes. Some are necessary to make the site work, such as remembering that you have passed the anti-spam check on a form. Others measure how the site performs and which adverts bring people here.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the necessary ones, parts of the site, including the forms, may stop working. You can opt out of Google Analytics specifically using Google's opt-out browser add-on.
Advertising
We advertise on Google, and depending on the season on other platforms such as Yelp. Those platforms may show you our adverts again after you have visited this site. They set their own cookies to do that, under their own privacy policies, not ours.

How we use your information
We use what we collect to:
- Prepare and send you an estimate, and carry out the work if you go ahead
- Contact you about your enquiry or your job
- Keep records of quotes, invoices, warranties and insurance claims
- Understand which of our marketing actually works, so we spend less on the parts that do not
- Meet our legal, tax and insurance obligations
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that affect you.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the companies that help us run the business, and only so far as they need it to do their job:
- Google Analytics and Google Ads (Google LLC), for measuring how the site is used and which ads bring people here.
- Google Tag Manager (Google LLC), which loads the tools listed on this page.
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation), which records how pages are used, including mouse movement, scrolling and clicks.
- WhatConverts, which records phone calls and logs which page or advert a call or form came from.
- Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc.), which checks that form submissions come from a person and not a bot.
- Roofr, which powers the instant roof estimate tool and stores the address you enter along with your contact details.
- Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.), which hosts and delivers this website.
We also share information with our insurers, our accountant, and, where you are making a storm or hail claim, your insurance company and any adjuster or engineer involved in that claim.
We will disclose information if the law requires it, for example in response to a court order, or where it is needed to establish or defend a legal claim.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for as long as we are in contact with you and for a reasonable period afterwards, in case you come back to us. Where you become a customer, we keep job records, invoices and warranty paperwork for as long as the warranty runs and for as long as tax and insurance rules require, which is normally seven years.
Call recordings are kept for a shorter period, generally no longer than we need them to confirm what was agreed and to review how calls are handled.
Your choices and your rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete your information, where we are not required to keep it
- Stop contacting you
Contact us through our contact page or call (865) 468-8726 and we will deal with it. We will not charge you and we will not treat you differently for asking.
Residents of Tennessee, California and some other states have specific statutory rights over their personal information. We apply the rights listed above to everyone who asks, wherever you live, so you do not need to work out which law covers you.
To stop marketing texts, reply STOP. To stop marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link. We will still contact you about a job that is under way.
Security
This site is served over an encrypted connection and our forms are protected against automated abuse. We limit access to customer records to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise that a transmission over the internet is completely safe, but we take the protection of your information seriously and act quickly if something goes wrong.
Children
This site is meant for adults arranging work on a property. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change the tools we use or the way we handle information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be obvious rather than buried.
